The Ventral Hernia Class II hydrogel model provides the essential procedural steps of ventral hernia repair. The model reproduces the periteonum, rectus muscles, anterior and posterior rectus sheath, subcutaneous fat and skin layers; and replicates a paraumbilical hernial defect traversing the linea alba. The Ventral Hernia Class II model is designed for use in the Abdome.
These models work together to provide task specific training of the essential skills of a Ventral Hernia repair, including:
- Peritoneal Incision and development of Peritoneal Flap
- Retrorectus Plane dissection
- Hernia Reduction
- Mesh Fixation
- Peritoneum Closure
